COMMON QUESTIONS

DO YOU ALLOW CLIENTS TO BE PRESENT AT THE INSPECTION?

Absolutely!  I prefer for my clients to present at the inspection if possible.  It allows for spontaneous questions and provides an opportunity for us to review and discuss my findings in person.  However, my reports contain many pictures and video and detailed explanations and I will gladly set aside time to review my report and answer any questions.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN A HOME INSPECTION?

A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property, performed for a fee, which is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components defined by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors' (InterNACHI) Standards of Practice and the State of Alabama Standards of Practice that are both observed and deemed material by the inspector.  The scope of work may be modified by the Client and Inspector prior to the inspection process.

  1. The home inspection is based on the observations made on the date of the inspection, and not a prediction of future conditions.

  2. The home inspection will not reveal every issue that exists or ever could exist, but only those material defects observed on the date of the inspection.

HOW LONG DOES THE INSPECTION TAKE?

An average inspection will take around 3 hours depending on the size of the home.

HOW SOON DO I RECEIVE MY REPORT AFTER THE INSPECTION?

You'll receive an electronic copy of your report within 24 hours, however many times reports are completed the same day.  If you are present at the inspection, we'll walk through the home together to look over any issues in person.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?

We accept Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Master Card, Discover, Amex), Venmo, Cash App, Cash and checks.
